Before using the service, please read these Terms and Conditions carefully. By accessing, browsing or using gChat, you confirm that you have read, understood and accepted these Terms, as well as the Privacy Policy, Cookie Policy and community rules.

If you do not agree with these Terms, you should not use gChat.

1. Responsible entity

gChat is a digital application integrated into the appsPride ecosystem.

appsPride is responsible for the management, development, maintenance, technical evolution, moderation and enforcement of the platform’s rules of use.

2. Minimum age requirement

gChat is intended exclusively for users aged 18 or over.

By using gChat, you declare that you are at least 18 years old.

Use of the platform by minors is strictly prohibited. If appsPride detects or suspects that a user is under the age of 18, access may be blocked, suspended or removed without prior notice.

3. Nature of the service

gChat is an online communication platform for adults, allowing users to chat in public rooms, country rooms, the World Room and private messages.

The platform may include features such as:

• text messages;

• private messages between users;

• photo sharing;

• video sharing;

• audio messages;

• video calls between users;

• public rooms by country;

• global/international room;

• reporting system;

• user blocking;

• automatic and/or manual moderation;

• advertising and promotional content;

• additional features made available by appsPride.

The service may be available through a website, Android application, WebView, Microsoft Store, Google Play, Progressive Web App or other versions that may be made available.

4. Use without registration

gChat may allow use without creating an account, requiring only a nickname or username to enter the platform.

However, use without registration does not mean absolute anonymity.

For security, abuse prevention, moderation, statistics, service improvement and legal compliance purposes, technical information may be collected and processed, such as:

• IP address;

• technical identifiers of the device or browser;

• country or approximate location;

• date and time of access;

• room used;

• reports received or submitted;

• technical interactions with the platform;

• data required to prevent abuse, spam, attacks or misuse.

In the event of serious rule violations, reports, abuse, attempts to bypass blocks or valid legal requests, appsPride may apply technical and administrative measures to protect the community.

5. General rules of use

By using gChat, you agree to respect other users and not to use the platform for illegal, abusive, offensive, dangerous or harmful purposes.

It is prohibited to:

• use the platform if you are under 18 years old;

• share illegal, violent, threatening, discriminatory, abusive or hateful content;

• harass, intimidate, stalk, humiliate or threaten other users;

• share personal data of third parties without authorisation;

• disclose addresses, contacts, documents, private images or sensitive information about other people;

• send spam, unauthorised advertising, abusive links or repetitive messages;

• use bots, scripts, automation or external tools without authorisation from appsPride;

• impersonate another person, entity, brand or organisation;

• deceive other users through fraud, extortion, scams or manipulation;

• request, encourage or share content involving minors;

• share, request or promote any content related to abuse, exploitation or illegal activity;

• attempt to bypass blocks, suspensions, reports or security systems;

• exploit technical flaws, vulnerabilities or attempt to compromise the platform;

• interfere with the operation of the chat, servers, database, advertisements or moderation systems;

• use gChat for purposes that violate applicable Portuguese, European or international law.

appsPride reserves the right to block or restrict access to any user who violates these rules.

6. Content shared by users

Users are responsible for all content they send, publish or share on gChat, including:

• text messages;

• photos;

• videos;

• audio messages;

• usernames;

• private messages;

• content sent in public rooms;

• content transmitted during video calls;

• any other information shared through the platform.

By sharing content on gChat, you confirm that you have the right to do so and that such content does not violate third-party rights, applicable laws or community rules.

appsPride is not responsible for content published or transmitted by users, but reserves the right to remove, block, restrict, moderate or report content that violates these Terms, the law or community safety.

7. Photos, videos and audio

gChat may allow users to send photos, videos and audio messages in public rooms or private messages, depending on the features available in each version of the platform.

Media sharing is the user’s responsibility.

You must not send content that:

• does not belong to you;

• exposes third parties without authorisation;

• includes minors;

• reveals personal data, documents, addresses or private information;

• is illegal, abusive, violent, discriminatory or offensive;

• violates copyright, image rights, privacy rights or intellectual property rights.

appsPride may limit, block, remove or prevent file uploads for technical, legal, security or moderation reasons.

8. Video calls between users

gChat may provide a video call feature between users.

Video calls work by invitation. One user may invite another available user to start a call. The invited user may accept or decline the request.

Video calls may include technical rules and limits, such as:

• maximum call duration;

• limit on simultaneous calls on the platform;

• limit of one active call per user;

• time limit to accept or decline an invitation;

• option to be available or unavailable to receive invitations;

• hiding users who are already on a call;

• button to end the call;

• floating window to follow the chat during the call.

Video calls are carried out under the responsibility of the users involved.

It is prohibited to:

• record, capture or share video calls without consent;

• expose third parties without authorisation;

• threaten, blackmail, coerce or pressure another user;

• share illegal content or content involving minors;

• use video calls for harassment, abuse, extortion, fraud or any illegal practice;

• attempt to manipulate, invade or technically interfere with the feature.

appsPride may limit, suspend, remove or modify the video call feature at any time for technical, legal, commercial, security or moderation reasons.

9. Personal safety

gChat is a user-to-user conversation platform. Therefore, you should be careful with the information you share.

It is recommended that you do not share:

• your address;

• identification documents;

• banking details;

• passwords;

• exact location;

• personal phone number;

• private contacts;

• sensitive professional information;

• intimate photos that may put your safety at risk;

• any information that could be used against you or third parties.

appsPride does not control all interactions between users and does not guarantee the identity, intention, real age, location or truthfulness of information shared by third parties.

Any meeting, conversation, call, file sharing or interaction outside the platform is the responsibility of the users involved.

10. Reports

gChat provides reporting mechanisms so users can report behaviour, messages, profiles, content or situations that violate the platform rules.

Reports may be reviewed through:

• automatic systems;

• technical security mechanisms;

• human manual review;

• behaviour history;

• number of reports received;

• severity of the content;

• context of use.

Submitting a report does not guarantee immediate action, but appsPride may take measures whenever it considers necessary to protect the community.

Abuse of the reporting system, including repeated false reports, may also result in blocking or suspension.

11. Moderation, blocks and suspensions

appsPride may apply moderation measures whenever it considers necessary to protect the platform, users or service operation.

Measures may include:

• removal of messages;

• removal of photos, videos or audio;

• limitation of features;

• temporary block;

• permanent block;

• access suspension;

• blocking by IP, device, browser or other technical identifiers;

• limitation of message sending;

• limitation of video calls;

• restriction from accessing rooms;

• reporting to competent authorities, where applicable.

In certain cases, multiple reports against the same user may result in automatic temporary blocks or other preventive measures.

appsPride may apply blocks without prior notice in cases of abuse, spam, illegal content, harassment, attempts to bypass rules, risk to the community or breach of these Terms.

12. Automation, bots and scripts

The use of bots, scripts, automated tools, spam systems, scraping, reverse engineering, abusive testing, external automation or any mechanism that interferes with the normal operation of gChat is prohibited, unless expressly authorised by appsPride.

appsPride may use its own automated mechanisms for:

• moderation;

• spam prevention;

• abuse detection;

• protection against attacks;

• security;

• statistics;

• service improvement;

• informational messages within the platform.

Any unauthorised use of automated systems may result in blocking or suspension.

13. Advertising and monetisation

gChat may display its own advertising or advertising from external partners.

The display of advertisements helps keep the service available and helps fund servers, maintenance, development and new features.

Advertisements may appear in:

• public pages;

• chat rooms;

• message areas;

• mobile applications;

• WebView versions;

• banners;

• pop-ups;

• specific areas of the interface;

• other formats supported by the platform.

appsPride is not responsible for content, products, services, promises, external pages or practices of third-party advertisers.

Any interaction with advertisements, external links or third-party websites is the user’s responsibility.

14. Third-party services

gChat may use external services for features such as:

• hosting;

• security;

• analytics;

• advertising;

• anti-spam validation;

• reCAPTCHA;

• notifications;

• technical storage;

• distribution through app stores;

• performance monitoring;

• video, audio or real-time communication services.

Use of these services may be subject to the terms, privacy policies and rules of the respective third-party entities.

appsPride does not fully control external services and is not responsible for failures, interruptions, changes, blocks or unavailability caused by third parties.

15. Service availability

appsPride seeks to keep gChat available, functional and secure, but does not guarantee that the service will always be free from failures, interruptions, errors, delays, data loss, attacks, technical maintenance or external problems.

The service may be changed, suspended, limited or discontinued at any time, in whole or in part, without obligation of prior notice.

Interruptions may occur due to:

• maintenance;

• updates;

• server failures;

• network problems;

• cyberattacks;

• external services;

• technical limits;

• programming errors;

• legal requirements;

• commercial or operational decisions.

16. Changes to the service

appsPride may add, remove, change or limit gChat features at any time.

This includes, without limitation:

• public rooms;

• country rooms;

• World Room;

• private messages;

• photo sharing;

• video sharing;

• audio sharing;

• video calls;

• maximum call duration;

• usage limits;

• reporting systems;

• blocks;

• advertising;

• moderation;

• access rules;

• design;

• features available by country, device or platform.

Some features may only be available in certain versions, countries, browsers, operating systems or devices.

17. User responsibility

The user is responsible for how they use gChat, the interactions they establish with other users and the content they decide to share.

The user agrees to use the platform in a legal, responsible and respectful manner.

appsPride is not responsible for:

• conversations between users;

• meetings arranged inside or outside the platform;

• personal agreements;

• conflicts;

• losses;

• damages;

• blackmail;

• scams;

• false identities;

• content sent by third parties;

• behaviour of other users;

• consequences resulting from the voluntary sharing of information.

18. Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by law, appsPride shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, moral, reputational, commercial or consequential damages resulting from the use or inability to use gChat.

This includes, without limitation:

• data loss;

• loss of revenue;

• reputational damage;

• technical problems;

• third-party content;

• behaviour of other users;

• communication failures;

• platform unavailability;

• video call errors;

• loss of messages;

• misuse of content voluntarily shared by the user;

• unauthorised access caused by external factors.

Nothing in these Terms limits rights that cannot be excluded under applicable law.

19. Intellectual property

The name gChat, the appsPride ecosystem, logos, design, code, structure, proprietary content, graphic elements, texts, features and visual identity belong to appsPride or their respective owners.

It is not permitted to copy, reproduce, modify, distribute, sell, commercially exploit, reverse engineer or create derivative versions of the service without prior written authorisation.

Content shared by users remains owned by its respective holders, but the user grants appsPride a limited licence to store, transmit, display, moderate, process and make such content available within the platform, as necessary for the operation of the service.

20. Privacy and cookies

Use of gChat is also subject to the Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy.

These documents explain what data may be collected, for what purposes it is used, how long it may be retained and what rights users have.

By using gChat, you should also consult these documents.

21. LGBTQIA+ community

gChat was created with the aim of offering a communication space for adults, focused on inclusion, respect, freedom of expression and coexistence within legal limits and community rules.

The following will not be tolerated:

• hate speech;

• discriminatory insults;

• attacks based on sexual orientation;

• attacks based on gender identity or gender expression;

• racism;

• xenophobia;

• religious discrimination;

• discrimination based on disability;

• public humiliation;

• stalking;

• threats;

• any behaviour that puts the safety or dignity of other users at risk.

Freedom of expression does not allow abuse, harassment, exploitation, discrimination or violation of the law.

22. Prohibited content involving minors

It is absolutely prohibited to use gChat to publish, request, send, suggest, promote, store, transmit or search for any content involving minors in a sexual, abusive, exploitative or illegal context.

Any suspicion of this type of content may result in immediate blocking, preservation of relevant technical data and reporting to the competent authorities, where applicable.

This rule is enforced with zero tolerance.

23. App stores and external versions

gChat may be available through app stores, websites, WebView, Progressive Web App or other distribution methods.

Availability in an app store does not mean that all features are available in all versions.

Some features may be changed, removed or limited to comply with technical rules, app store policies, legal requirements, safety standards or appsPride decisions.

The user must also comply with the terms of the platforms through which they download or use the application.

24. External links

gChat may contain links to external websites, advertisements, partner pages, social networks, app stores or other third-party services.

appsPride does not control these websites and is not responsible for their content, security, policies, products, services or practices.

Before interacting with any external website, you should check its own terms and privacy policies.

25. Changes to the Terms and Conditions

appsPride may update these Terms and Conditions at any time for legal, technical, operational, commercial, security or service improvement reasons.

The latest version will be available on the website or in the application.

Continued use of gChat after changes means that you accept the new Terms.

1. Purpose of the community

gChat was created to enable online conversations between adult users, in public rooms and private conversations, promoting an environment of respect, freedom, safety and responsibility.

We want users to be able to chat, meet new people and interact easily, while always respecting others and the platform rules.

2. Mandatory minimum age

gChat is intended exclusively for users aged 18 or over.

Use of the platform by anyone under 18 is prohibited. If a user is identified or reported as being underage, appsPride may block access, remove associated content and take other necessary measures.

3. Respect between users

All users must treat others with respect. Behaviour intended to humiliate, intimidate, harass, threaten, insult or harm other users is not allowed.

Examples of prohibited behaviour include:

• Personal insults;
• Threats;
• Harassment;
• Stalking or insisting after refusal;
• Hate speech;
• Discriminatory comments;
• Public humiliation of other users;

4. Prohibited content

It is prohibited to publish, send, share or encourage any illegal, abusive, violent, misleading, offensive or risky content.

• Involves third parties without consent;
• Is used for harassment, pressure or blackmail;

• Send repeated or automated messages;
• Promote websites, groups, services or products without authorisation;
• Use bots, scripts or automation to contact users;
• Send suspicious, malicious or misleading links;
• Carry out phishing, fraudulent schemes or false promises.

10. Platform security

Any attempt to compromise, exploit, attack or harm the operation of gChat is prohibited.

It is not allowed to:

• Attempt to access restricted areas without authorisation;
• Exploit technical flaws or vulnerabilities;
• Use scripts, bots or automated tools without authorisation;
• Overload servers or harm the operation of the service;
• Attempt to bypass blocks, suspensions, limits or security systems;
• Send malicious files, viruses or dangerous links.

11. Reports

gChat provides reporting mechanisms so users can report inappropriate behaviour, messages or content.

Reports may be analysed by automated systems and also through human manual review. appsPride may apply measures based on the severity of the situation, number of reports, technical history, user behaviour and risk to the community.

False, abusive or malicious reports made with the intention of harming another user may also lead to measures against the person who submitted them.

12. Moderation and applicable measures

To protect the community, appsPride may apply moderation measures whenever considered necessary.

Measures may include, among others:

• Warning the user;
• Removing messages or content;
• Limiting features;
• Temporary block;
• Extended suspension;
• Permanent block;
• Block by IP, device, browser or other technical identifiers;
• Reporting to competent authorities, where applicable.

In certain cases, multiple reports against the same user may result in automatic temporary blocks or other preventive measures.

13. Responsible use of public rooms

Public rooms are shared spaces. Therefore, users should avoid behaviour that harms the experience of others.

In public rooms, avoid:

• Sending repeated messages;
• Interrupting conversations with spam;
• Sharing overly sensitive content without context;
• Repeatedly provoking conflict;
• Exposing private conversations;
• Publishing your own or third-party personal data.

14. Responsible use of private messages

Private messages must be used with respect and responsibility.

Do not use private messages to harass, pressure, threaten, send unsolicited content, promote schemes, send spam or attempt to bypass blocks.

If you receive an inappropriate message, you may block the user, leave the conversation or submit a report, where available.

15. User-generated content

The user is responsible for everything they write, send or share on gChat.

appsPride does not necessarily endorse the opinions, messages, images, videos or audio published by users.

Content that violates these rules, the Terms and Conditions or applicable legislation may be removed without prior notice.

16. Compliance with the law

Users must comply with the applicable laws of the country where they are located and respect the rights of other users.

Any use of the platform for illegal activities, exploitation, fraud, threats, blackmail, abuse, sharing prohibited content or violating rights may result in content removal, session/account blocking and reporting to competent authorities, where applicable.

17. Child Safety Standards

gChat has zero tolerance for any content, behavior, or user associated with child sexual abuse or exploitation (CSAE). This prohibition applies regardless of whether the content is real, simulated, or artificially generated.

Any user can report suspected child exploitation content or behavior directly within the app, using the report feature available on every conversation and profile. These reports receive the highest priority in our moderation process.

Accounts associated with this type of content are immediately and permanently banned, the content is removed, and relevant information is reported to the competent authorities and/or specialized organizations (such as NCMEC), in compliance with applicable law.
